This was a gift from Grandma for Valentines Day, and she loves it! I barely got her to take it off to put on her pj's last night. As soon as she woke up this morning, she wanted it back on. I'll be lucky if I'm able to wash it anytime soon. I love watching her twirl and dance in it, she is getting so big and just gets more and more fun every day.

OUR MINI VACATION

A week ago today we were in St. George and it was oh so warm! Of course I forgot to bring my camera.. as usual. We did a lot of fun things while we were there. Some of our activities were.....
Hiking
Golfing
Hunting for Lizards
Bowling
Playing games at the arcade
Playing at the Park
and in general just enjoying the nice warm weather.
We also enjoyed visiting with Russell and Danalee and being with the rest of the family. It was so hard to come home to the snow and cold weather and I think now that we all have a little bit of spring fever. It was also my birthday gift from my amazing husband. We can't wait to go back, hopefully we'll be able to go back for Spring Break in April.

OUR FIRST BIG SNOW STORM IN SPANISH FORK

Apparently we brought the snow with us when we moved. They hadn't had a storm like this in about 8 years. Because of the 3 feet of snow that fell, school was canceled. Kids couldn't of been happier!

Zeus had made a bunch of trails all threw the snow. He was literally jumping threw the snow like a kangaroo all day. It was so funny to watch him.

This is Zeus. He is a purebred lab, and he has filled an empty spot in our home. We love having him around. He is alive in this picture, he just sleeps with his mouth open, tongue hanging out. It's really cute.

St. George vacation September 2010

We had so much fun in St. George. It was fun just soaking in the sun, and for the kids it's just fun to stay in a hotel room. We have fun every time we visit, and we are grateful for Russell and Danalee's hospitality. Our boys love to come visit and play with Karston. It is the highlight of our trips. This year was the first time for the boys playing on the splash pad at the park by Russell and Danalee's home. We never want to leave, so hopefully one day we will have a summer home there. The best of both world.

Most of you know that we have been threw a lot this year. The loss of our sweet baby Ethan, the loss of the best dog ever Cody, and we have had our financial struggles as well. The Lord has tested us a lot these past three years, and I have learned a lot about myself and that the only thing that is important in this life is your family, good friends and the gospel. Maybe not all in that order, but I used to want all the material things. The big house, the cars and lots of money. I have really realized that as long as I am with my family and the ones I love, and have the gospel in my life, that that is all that matters. I know that some of you are saying "well DUH", and I know. Sometimes it take me a while to appreciate what I have, and to realize that is all I need.
Honestly, I am grateful for my struggles. I am grateful for the bumpy road I have had to endure threw this life. Because they have taught me so much. I honestly can't wait to see my little angel Ethan again. I miss him everyday, and there isn't a moment when I don't wish he was here on earth with us. Then I am distracted by the other 5 children I have here with me, and I am so grateful that they are here to help cushion the ache I have in my heart. I am grateful to have forever to look forward to being with them, even though it seems impossible sometimes.

Sorry I haven't updated my blog, but you're all going to have to be patient with me. I only have access to a computer at my in laws, or my parents. A lot has happened since my last entry. Birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and a trip to St. George for my Birthday.
We've had a lot of trials this past year, but the year ahead is looking a little brighter. HAPPY NEW YEARS to everyone, and we all hope this new year is better for everyone. Thanks to all our friends and family who have been there for us, and helped us out. We love you all. :)

Our trip to Cove Fort - Labor Day Weekend

Always have to have a picture of Mom and Kins

When we got just outside the Fort she discovered all the loose gravel and it was fascinating! Can't get enough of dirt and rocks.

I just love these walls, they made a great background for all our pictures. Tanner is such a good looking boy so he just added to how cool this picture is.

3. Found dinosaur tracks just a short walk away from Russell & Danalee's house
4. Almost got attacked by 2 Great Horned Owls that we spooked out of their tree on our way back from finding the dinosaur tracks.

I love this picture of Dallas. It just goes to show that he can't take a normal picture.He always has to be pulling a face or doing something crazy.

I like this picture of Alex too. We were standing outside of the Fort and I just decided to snap this picture of him with the corn field behind him. So cool looking.

Kinsey was just plain bored. Every time we walked inside a different room she would scream and throw herself backwards. So we ended up spending the remainder of the tour just sitting outside in the courtyard. At least she was happy to just sit.

We went to Anthony & Misty's for a 4th of July breakfast. Tanner got talked into helping the women tie a quilt. I think he was a little re leaved when I told him that he didn't have to do it anymore.

Okay, so I haven't had use of my computer since the first part of July. So I have a lot of catching up to do. Since then we have celebrated the 4th, Kinsey's 1st birthday, and many other exciting things that I have not been able to share. I will be posting pictures soon. Brady's BAD day :(

Ok, so pretty much my camera sucks. I can't get it to focus and it really drives me nuts. As for those of you who may not want to see what a toe looks like without a toe nail, then you are probably happy that my camera sucks right now. I just had to post it.
That day was a bad one for Brady. Not just because he lost his toe nail, but he also fell and scraped his knee, got hit in the eye with a soft baseball bat, and also hit his head on the wall. I'm amazed at how strong this kid is.
I thought for sure that I would pass out or throw up if this happened to one of my kids, but I was surprised that I handled it really well. So now it has been two day since the accident, and he is running around, tip toeing to sneak up on you, pretty much everything I would avoid doing if this had happened to me. All I can say is that I am so proud of him, he is so strong, nothing gets him down. Not for long anyway. And if your wondering, it's the toe next to his big toe.

Swollen Brady

Sorry that my pictures are pretty fuzzy, but my camera sucks. Anyway, Brady woke up this morning at about 3am, he wasn't complaining about anything he just wanted a drink of milk. But when I looked at him his nose was swollen between his eyes. All I could think of was that something bit him while he was sleeping. After inspecting him, I couldn't find any bite marks.

I have been giving him Benadryl, and the swelling is going down, but only a little bit. I'm hoping it's nothing serious, but at least it's not causing him any pain. He just looks a little funny.

For those who might remember, Alex getting bit all around his eye by black gnats up at moon. He had the same reaction with the swelling but no pain. That time it scared us so bad that we took him to the hospital. That was some expensive Benadryl. So I'm trying to avoid the doctor if I can. He looks miserable, but he is the same little Brady with the attitude I love. He just looks a little different.

Dallas had a birthday on Friday the 20th, turning the BIG 6. I asked him what kind of cake he wanted and he told me that he wanted donuts and no cake. So he had a birthday donut.
He got some really cool presents, and had so much fun! He kept telling me "thank you for my birthday", it was so cute. So thanks to everyone for the gifts, he loved all of them.

Brady is wearing "BIG BOYS"!!! Yah! He decided to go for it the other day and hasn't looked back. He is refusing to wear a diaper or pullup at night. Last night was his first night without a diaper, and I am happy to report that there were no accidents. He is sooo excited. He heads to the bathroom 500 times a day just so he can try, and I am totally okay with that. Anything to get him out of diapers.
I AM SO PROUD OF MY BIG LITTLE BOY!!!

Look at her! Can you believe it? She isn't quite crawling yet, but she has figured out how to throw herself forward. She was doing this all night last night. She was trying to reach for a toy hammer, and threw herself right into it. After that she was done and ready for bed.

Okay, so I was realizing that I haven't taken any pictures of Kinsey in the tub. I know I'm horrible, it's a must with every kid isn't it? So here are a few out of the hundreds that I took.

The only way I could get her to look at the camera was to literally put it right in her face.

Since this is a family blog, Tanner has asked if he can have his own space to share things with his family and friends. So he will be putting up a new post once a week letting you know what's going on in his life.
For his first post, we would like to show you what he got this past week!

YES!!! Tanner got glasses (two different pairs), and now he can see. Doesn't he look so handsome and smart? He was always smart and handsome before though.
He would like to tell you about it now.
Well first of all,I am happy that I got glasses.The only thing I don't like is that at school, I usually play four square and I've noticed that when I'm in line,the king always go's to one of the players
whispers in their ear.I think they're making rumors about me. :(
At school,I'm learning about weather.I've learned about cold and warm fronts,low and high pressure,and even how a tornado is made.It is very exciting! Thank you Mr.Eagar!
Yesterday,I got to go see a movie in the gym at school. We have homework club and I did all my homework,got to school on time,and didn't go to the principles office.
That was my week! Hope you enjoyed it!

On Thursday night we had our Blue and Gold Banquet. Tanner earned a couple new pins. He loves scouts, and is always eager to earn new badges, pins or whatever it may be. We went to St. George over Martin Luther King weekend for my B-day. It was soooo nice!
How can you go wrong with 60 degree weather? We didn't want to come home. Here they were getting ready to race eachother around the park.

Dallas got a little tired after riding his scooter around everywhere.

This part of the park is a water park during summer. We definately will have to go back for that.

Alex was shooting me with the non-working water gun. Ow!

Tanner got Lego's, 2 new DS games, cinnamon toast crunch, root beer, a chess set, clothes, a pocket knife, a u be funky, a banana chair, and a marianete puppet of a dog, and a few more things that I can't remember.

Dallas got this cool nerf rifle, a skate board, some cars, Cocoa puffs, root beer, a helicopter, clothes, a u be funky guy(computer game), a banana chair, a marianete puppet of a gorilla, and a few other things.

Alex got a guitar, teck deck skate boards, a u be funky, mountain dew, Golden crisps, a science set to share with Tanner, a marianete puppet of a cat, a ball game,a book, and a few more things.

Brady got a Firetruck, Diego, an Army Tank, a Banana chair, a nerf gun, Lucky Charms, Cream Soda, Clothes, Buzz Lightyear, cars, a marianete puppet of a elephant, and other things that I can't remember.
Kinsey got a bunch of clothes she will be stylin.

This should of been the first entry on here before the snow pictures, but I wanted it to be at the top of the page. I took this after church on Sunday while they still looked nice. They sure do love their little sis. They were fighting about who would get to hold her. Alex won, he asked first.

The boys went out to play in the snow on Tuesday once the storm had stopped. Brady came in screaming and crying because his gloves had fallen off and his hands were like ice, so he decided that he was done. They had to dig their sleds out of the snow they were buried in since they didn't bring them up to the porch after they used them the last time, and with the storm on Monday, they were buried in 8" of snow. But in all they were probably out for just over an hour. Dallas was too cold, and Alex's gloves wouldn't stay on. So Tanner was the last to come in. Check him out, he's wearing my boots.

Kinsey rolled over on Sunday night. I put her down to bed, went and worked out and came back upstairs to shower and she had rolled onto her back. This can't be happening so fast. I don't want it to happen this fast :( She's suppossed to be my baby forever right?
All my boys are growing up so fast too. Brady will soon be turning 3 on the 17th, and he has such an attitude. Today he got mad at me so he went to his room and shut his door. I made him a sandwich as a piece offering. He saw me coming, but he didn't see his sandwich, so he slammed the door on me. Two seconds later he opens the door, smiled and said "you made me a sandwich? I love you mom." Now were cool. He is so funny.
